Vault deposits and withdrawals now route through CoW Protocol

TL;DR: You can now deposit any token into a Summer.fi vault, even if it's not the vault's underlying asset. CoW Protocol handles the conversion in the background and you see the price upfront, the order settles, and the deposit completes automatically. Withdrawals work the same way in reverse.

For a long time, depositing into a yield vault meant doing depositors least fun chore first: swapping into the right token. We’ve all done it… ready to deposit into a USDC vault only to realize you just hold ETH. Open a DEX, swap, pay gas, hope you didn't get sandwiched, come back, deposit.

Starting today, Summer.fi vaults accept (and pay out) any token. If what you're depositing already matches the vault's underlying asset, nothing changes. If it doesn't, we route the conversion through CoW Protocol automatically, and the deposit completes in one continuous flow. Same on the way out: withdraw to whichever asset you actually want.

Why CoW Protocol

CoW stood out above the others options for three key reasons:
