Why are we building?
Today we present the first approach to the future of Summer.fi. The Lazy Summer protocol is our answer to DeFi user's needs, designed to provide a passive-earning product that redefines passive lending through automated, permissionless lending and staking. It will give the users optimized, risk-adjusted yields by continuously rebalancing assets across top-tier DeFi protocols. Lazy Summer protocol is built for the next 100M of DeFi users!
What we will build.
The Lazy Summer protocol manages user assets autonomously and transparently by rebalancing them from poor-performing protocols to better ones. The goal is that the assets earn the best risk-adjusted yield.
It comprises of permissionless Smart Contracts, Keepers, and an SDK/API kit. It will offer a friendly experience that will integrate seamlessly with DeFi protocols and Web 2 FinTech apps.
Users will benefit from an automatically rebalanced portfolio that helps diversify risk and reduces exposure to any protocol. Additionally, users avoid the cost and effort of tracking the live yields environment and managing multiple positions. The automated rebalancer continuously optimizes yield across supported protocols and can outperform standard deposits, on platforms like Aave V3, or Compound V3.

What happens to the current Summer.fi app?
The current Summer.fi app you know and love, will remain unchanged and fully maintained by our team. There will be no alterations to its existing features or functionality. On the other hand, the Lazy Summer protocol will be launched as a completely standalone protocol, offering a separate and distinct experience.
Considerations:
This is our first Litepaper release, marking a significant step in presenting the Lazy Summer protocol to the world. Over the coming months, we’ll share more crucial updates, including the results of initial audits, key launch dates, and prototypes. We’ll also go deeper into the protocol’s design, governance, and integration capabilities. Expect detailed insights on our risk management approach, strategic partnerships, and feature rollout.
